Description: HARMONY IN ACTION- REPORT ON THE FMW, JPIC AND USM MEETING Date: 11th July 2025 Venue: Upper Concert Hall “ In a gentle way, you can shake the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi. Today, the Upper Concert Hall became a space of reflection and inspiration as students gathered for the joint meeting of Friends of Mary Ward (FMW), Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC), and the Universal Solidarity Movement (USM). The atmosphere was filled with purpose as Ma’am Zarreen opened the session with a thoughtful introduction, followed by a heartfelt prayer led by Ma’am Sanchita. Guided by our Principal, Sr. Lissy, the meeting unfolded like a journey of values. Each movement’s motto was presented not just as words, but as a way of life: 🔹 FMW: “Be seekers of truth and doers of justice.” 🔹 JPIC: “Act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with your God.” 🔹 USM: “One God, one world, one human family.” The aim of these movements echoed clearly—to nurture young hearts into peaceful, just, and united world citizens. A beautiful moment of reflection came with the chorus of Sebastian Temple’s hymn, “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace.” The lines reminded us that real strength lies in consoling others, in understanding rather than being understood, and in loving selflessly. Finally, the powerful words from the Bible—“Love your enemies”—sparked a discussion on forgiveness, courage, and rising above hate to build a world rooted in peace. The meeting closed not with applause, but with silence—the silence of reflection, of commitment, and of quiet strength ready to bloom.
