On 13th August 2025, USM student members and teachers of St. Mary’s Convent Inter College nurtured under the able guidance of an NGO Close to my heart and connected with us for many years, were warmly welcomed into our school by the USM Teacher Animator.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by games conducted by Mr. Anurag Sir and Mr. Parmanand Sir.
In the Lower Concert Hall, our students sang a prayer song, and Group 1 teachers shared the day’s message — to spread kindness through small tokens of love. Each child received a goodies bag and a toiletries bag, prepared by our students to promote hygiene awareness. Two students from the slum sang soulful songs, teaching us that happiness can be found in life’s simplest moments.

Our Principal, Reverend Sister Lissy,Vice Principal, Reverend Sister Namita and Reverend Sister Josita distributed fruits and chocolates, and Reverend Sr. Lissy concluded the day with a heartfelt assurance that we will meet again to share love and joy. This small act of togetherness truly reflected USM’s mission — proving that compassion and kindness can brighten lives and build lasting bonds.
