Description:
" Light a candle before cursing the darkness" On 25th November, 2023 , the students of class 8th were given the opportunity to attend an orientation seminar organized by the Universal Solidarity Movement (USM) , Indore. The program commenced with the introduction of the experienced, and skilled speakers, Father Jacob and Ma'am Neetu. The program then progressed through the readings from the Holy Scriptures, a prayer, and a prayer song. Father Jacob initiated the program by discussing about the Indian Constitution, and the strengths of our nation, but also touched on the weaknesses too. It taught the students that everything strong has to face challenges, like a diamond persisting and shining amongst the black coal. Ma'am Neetu discussed about the negative impacts which the media , advertising industries, etc, can have on the minds of the youth ; diverting them from their path of achieving their goals. The students were then introduced to the various practical tips for leadership, and personal growth. The students also learned from the examples of great personalities, like Swami Vivekanand , and Mahatma Gandhi. Then, they were asked to differentiate between 'Vision' , and 'Ambition', and how it can impact our lives , and that of others. Ma'am Neetu further discussed about the importance of pluralistic spirituality, focusing on acceptance, appreciation, and promotion of diversity in all its dimensions. The students also learned about the teachings of various religions, and how it can impact our lives, and deepen our understanding of others, and ourselves. At the end, the students were asked to write about their experience, and what they learned during this enlightening session. The session concluded with a thanksgiving speech. The experience was enriching, and a memorable one where the students learned that their persistent efforts and dedication can touch the lives of many people and bring a change.
